Need Load Advice for 6BR using Berger 90 grain BT Target Bullet and H-4895

I'm pulling together components to do some load development with the Berger 90 grain BT target bullet for < 500 yard shooting.

As Varget and RL-15 are tough to find, I'd welcome any recommendations for H-4895, or even N135 for that matter. My load books have not been very helpful.

I'll be shooting these out of a 28", 1:8 twist HART barrel that was chambered for the Berger 108 BT target bullet, so I'll have plenty of room to play with the seating depth.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hodgdon's manual starts at 24.5 grains of H4895 for a 90 grain bullet; this gives 2560 fps. This is in a 24" 1 in 9 twist barrel with Rem 7 1/2 primers. You'll find more on Hodgdon's website.

Thanks Dennis and Terry!

Please keep any load guidance / recommendations coming.

I shoot a .240 Tomahawk in an AR, it has very similar capacity to a 6br. I found alot of my best loads using 6br data actually. I used 29.0 H4895 for 105's and 30.5 for 90's. and now settled on 29.5 for the 95 Berger saami bullet. I has been able to go past those loads a grain or so without issue. For your BR, you could start at 29.0 and work towards 31.0, and you will find success. The 90's like to be going about 2950-3050 and you will probably find a good node in that range, and without much fuss..
