Need Help With Nightforce Competition Elevation Turret

Without getting into how I’ve arrived at my current situation; went to the range yesterday after having replaced my old scope with a NF 15-55 Competition unit.

In attempting to zero the rifle, I found that the best I could do was 2” high at 100 yards. I imagine I need to make some adjustments in the clutch mechanism but am at a loss as to what exacting is required.

I’ve done some research and found information on returning the scope to “optical center” but am not sure how to do that. I’d appreciate some feedback and suggestions on how to proceed.

would it not go lower or not go higher? Is it a newer Zero Stop model?

Zero Stop….can’t bring POI below 2” above POA.

Do you have 0 MOA mounts? What about the rings, are they 0 MOA?

Also take a picture of the elevation turret and post it.

Remove the turret cover. You’ll see the 4 Allen screws on top of the turret clutch. I’m guessing it will be screwed all the way down to the bottom (where the zero stop was most likely set). Loosen all 4 screws and turn the top clutch counter clockwise about a half turn. Tighten the 4 screws (don’t over tighten) replace the cap and you should have more than 2 MOA of increased adjustment to get you down the 2”. If that corrects your issue pm me and I’ll tell you how to reset the zero stop to your rifle

Thanks…but it’s the scope, not the rifle, mount or rings…I’ve screwed up the adjustments on the scope.

Thanks for the responses….did as TJ12 suggested and it looks good now. I have a Léopold Zero Point bore sighter and it shows it OK…..will get it to the range in a few days and confirm.
