WOW SD, I had NO IDEA of any 9 twist .244's... That is a surprise to me... If you stay on this forum long enough, you will learn something new quite often!! Thanks for the info..

Very bad advice!!
 
You have to LAP the Shellplate on a very flat surface like a corian counter top or marble or a tablesaw table and use 240 silicon carbide(3m wet or dry) and as you lap make ever changing figure 8's to avoid getting it flatter on one side than the other.

I'd rather take it off the bottom of the die...lot more meat there. Doesn't weaken anything.
