Need Help. Tenmile vs Mark 5

I'm building my next hunting rifle, and I am looking to put a good piece of glass on top. Borrowed a Vortex Viper from my brother for load development and I'm sitting at under .5moa with just two ladder tests for powder! I will be putting it on a Tikka in 6.5 PRC. I will be using this rifle for everything from whitetails in dark timber to Mule deer at longer ranges (400+) and rock chucks as far out as I can spot them. Has anyone out there had the chance to compare the Tenmile to the Mark 5?
Is the Mark 5 worth the extra cost?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and information.

I’d go Trijicon all the way.. I have 5. But i would not buy a Tenmile for deer hunting. The Tenmile is a large scope intended for long range shooting.. its heavy etc… look at the others Trijicon has… they are great scopes for the money.

I’ve never had a Mark 5, but I have seen a new one fail at a match, the elevation turret stoped tracking. I have a few Leupolds that are great with no issues but the turrets don’t get turned much other than an old VX3 6-20 that lives on a varmint rifle.
I do have the Trijicon and I have dialed the crap out of the turrets on centerfire and rimfire and it has held up great. I also like the no tools required to zero the turret's in the field.
The glass or image in my option is just under my NF comp but close.

Have both, love both. If I want a new one it’ll be a Trijicon. Just a matter of money. But it’s a tank, big for a hunting rifle!

I have a Ten Mile 3-18. Most of the Ten Miles are very large target oriented scopes, but the 3-18 is smaller and lighter. The 3-18 is the lightest one of the bunch. While it is not super heavy, it is a LONG scope. But correspondingly the optical quality is very good, and mine has been mechanically solid. I like mine alot. It is a solid choice for a long range hunting rifle, probably not so much for a short range carbine.

I have a 5-50 Tenmile on an F Open rifle and glass clarity is excellent and it is the only illuminated scope I have ever owned that you can actually use in the full daylight and see it on the cross hairs.. Think black cross hairs against a black target in heavy mirage… Brings them out and defines them against the dark target/background.
The 3-18 as suggested would be ideal as used on a hunting rifle.
Choice of red or green illumination {both colours are built in} as well as intensity means that you will see the cross hairs in any lighting conditions.
Price point is also great for a quality scope.
