Need Help Determining Sightron Relative Reticle Thickness

I'm trying to determine relative reticle thickness of two different Sightron SIII scopes. The first is the Sightron SIIISS 10-50x60 LRMD/CM (spec on their page is .025 Mils indexed at 24X) and the other is the Sightron SIIISS 10-50x60 LRFCH (spec on their page is .017 MOA at max power).

I need help with the math to understand which reticle is thicker and by how much. I will be purchasing one of these to use on a F-class T/R build. Thanks in advance for the help!

Well, since I did not get any help with the original question, let me ask another way. If you have used the Sightron SIIISS 10-50x60 LRFCH, do you have any issues with the reticle being too fine such as not being able to see them against certain target or lighting conditions? I'm probably going to get this scope unless I hear otherwise from current users.

The Sightron number is 1-919-562-3000. They are nice folks there and I would bet that there is someone there that will/can answer your question. and, they answer the phone there.

The way I crunch the numbers on the Sightron tech details, the Mildot crosshair (fine) covers .216" @ 100 yds. @ 10x; LRFCH covers .084 @100 yds. @ 10x. The LRFCH would be the smaller of the two. Hope this helps.

Thank you hogpatrol and fredhorace77! Your math skills certainly are way beyond mine. Below is the answer I got from Sightron that is slightly different than the numbers you came up with:

SIII 10-50x60 LRMD/CD .085 inches
SIII 10-50x60 LRFCH .017 inches

Anyway, the raw numbers from you and Sightron now give me a feeling for the relative thickness. As I said earlier, I am leaning towards the fine crosshair. But at 60 years old, I am worried that the reticle might be too fine for these old eyes. I agree that getting behind each prior to purchase would be the best option. I'll see if I can do that.
