need help deciding which scope to buy

Looking at a Night Force 12-42 with NP2 reticle and Sightron 10-50 moa-2 reticle. Will be used for 300 yd F class. Which do you guys recommend ?

If the NF has 1/8 clicks and you can make weight with it I would choose that weather it's the BR or NSX. Nothing negative to say about the S-III......Just prefer the NF personally.

That is not my experience with NF. They along with Leupold have always stood by their products!

I've had both. At 600 yards side by side, the NF just BARELY edged the SIII optically. No problems with tracking with either one.

So, money no object - NF. Almost the same performance at a big monetary discount? SIII. Good luck.

Because of my older eyes I would like more power than 8-32. Thats why I asked about the SIII 10-50 or the NF 12-42. I already have a SIII 8-32 and have a hard time with the 300 yd F class targets.

If you handle a straight cross hair I recommend the new ED glass 10 x 50 Sightron with the dual focus knob. Most clear, bright, and crisp view I have observed. 34 mm tube.

300 YARDS? NF 8-32x56 BR is hard to beat. For other purposes, other scopes are better.

The sightron 10-50 on my wife’s 260 gets pretty dark at full 50 power and it doesn’t seem to be able to deal with the mirage as well as the nf but it is a consistent scope and cheaper at that. Maybe at 300 yds the mirage isn’t as big of a deal. Either scope will work well for you.
