Need help choosing a rear bag please!

nhm16,
I have the funnel you mentioned, they work but are messy and it almost takes two people to fill a bag. I also have one of Johns tools for filling a bag, I just received it last Friday and haven't got my new bags yet but when I do I plan on using it and will report back how it worked for me, hopefully it will be much better then the funnel method.

Wanted to buy Dr. bag. Looks like everybody is out of stock.

I ordered mine directly from Protektor, and had them build it exactly how I wanted it (see above). Got it in about 3 weeks.

Hey guys,

I prefer the DR Bag.
Mine weights 15.5 pounds loaded with my garnet and pack it as tight as you want with this new tool.

Thanks,
John

Curious, what advantage does it have over the Forster funnel?

The sand is sealed and contained a disposable water bottle. The stainless steel filler tube and the aluminum handle makes it very easy to get the bag packed tight. One man operation. No mess. If you have ever filled a bag with a funnel you will see the advantage. Makes filling a bag fun.

Okay fellas,
I finally got to use my new sand bag filler tool from John @ 21stcenturyshooting today and it worked GREAT!! :D this is the tool I am referring to,...http://www.21stcenturyshooting.com/Sand_Bag_Filler.php
I did a little write up on it on the gear review section, this tool is great!

Thanks for the imfo wayne as I plan on buying one too. I hate filling bags as I always spill so much sand. I always needed help to fill them. I am assuming that with the water bottle you can actually force the sand in and pack it as tight as you want it.

Jon,
Yes you can pack it as tight as you want, go to the gear review section and read what I wrote about it, I am no journalist by any stretch of the imagination but I think you will get the point, you have to find out what works best as with any tool or new item, at first I was using it by hanging on the the bottle but found it much easier and faster to hang on to the tool and with a piston type action you force the sand into the bag. If you had two people you can put the bulk of the sand in a bag faster with the funnel,....maybe, but after it is fairly full to tool really shines as you can literally fill the bag as tight as you want it, without any mess as long as you don't pull the fill tube out of the fill port on the bag which I was lucky and did not, and filled two bags while watching a movie in my recliner, try that by yourself with a funnel in your recliner ::)

Hawghunter,
I read that a long time ago, thanks for posting it. I would never dispute a winner like speedy.
