Need help...ADL to BDL parts questions

I have a remington 700 ADL I'm using as a base to start a build. I'm going to go with a hinged floorplate on the new rifle and I'd like some help to determine exactly what I need to get to is all works together right.

The new rifle will be a straight .284 in a long action. I thought I'd simply buy a remington BDL set-up but I've discovered that there are different designators on some of the parts (standard, magnum, 30-06, etc). Can someone help point me in the right direction? I'm assuming I'll need:

- Trigger assembly/hinged floorplate (do I just need a long action here and I'm good?)
- Magazine Box (which version do I need, LA Magnum or 30-06, or?)
- Follower (do I need a follower, or can I use my ADL follower...and if so which version, 30-06 or Magnum?)
- Follower spring (do I need this or can I use my ADL spring?)

I don't really understand the differences between the versions that I see when I look on Midway USA, for example. And I may first try to see if anyone on this forum has any for sale...but I want to be sure I'm asking for the right version...if it matters. I understand that I'll need long action on all these, but not sure what else matters.

Thanks for any help!

I'm certainly no 700 expert but you're going to need the hinged floorplate for a standard long action, exactly what a 06 would take. Follower & spring?
Take a look in Brownell's catalog & see what's available & you can always call into them & talk to a tech that can give you options about what's available. The 284 is a little fatter but may feed OK from a standard follower.

L/A ADL to BDL
ADL spare parts-
mag box/mag box tab screw/center trigger guard screw/ADL trigger guard

BDL parts required-
L/A BDL bottom metal
L/A BDL mag box
Your L/A ADL mag spring will work w/ ski tip installed in the follower not in the floor plate.
Your stamped magazine follower will work, though the forged followers are preferred.

A magazine box from an ADL setup usually is too tall for use with the BDL set up - might not be an issue if you're building and inletting a custom stock but with pre-fit stocks such as HS Precision you will need to use the appropriate BDL mag box.
