Need gunsmith Savage 99

I have an early 60's Savage 99 that I would like re barreled. Want to keep it 308 Win but haven't found a gunsmith down here (ALABAMA) that wants to do it. Any one know of a good lever action gunsmith that will do the work ?

They are nothing hard to rebarrel. I would google it. Doug turnbull restorations would do it in bloomfield new york. I also would call gretan rifles in colorado. If he wont do it,he would know who would, if you cant find dougs phone number,I can get it for you. Just pm me.

Is there a national list of gunsmiths by state? I looked at the Yellow Pages for Tucson/metro (one million people) and there was one listing. A poor sampling for those who try and do their homework.

Maybe that was a Yellow Pages targeted to my area, but this is Arizona for cripes sake. Might have to drive up to Phoenix.
