Need explanation on scoring in f class matches.

My scorers have a bad habit of saying “SEVEN!” or “EIGHT!” Unpredictably.
Usually when it’s inconsistent wind.

Clearly you need to pay them better!

On a serious note, the biggest issue with scoring isn’t scoring at all. It’s not watching your shooters target because you’re focused on something else. If you’re just learning to score PAY ATTENTION to your shooters target. Find a rythym so that you don’t miss any shots. Nothing worse than having a discrepancy between you and your scorer because he was busy watching his buddies target three lanes down or checking his phone.

F- Class John is right on - it's important to pay attention.

Best bet is to watch the shooter, when the shooter fires go immediately to the target - you may even be able to see the trace as the bullet races to the target. Watch it go down, and the wait for it to come back up - it's easy to miss a shot if you aren't paying attention and if you do miss a shot you may break the shooter's rhythm, or worse, break the shooter's concentration as he tries to figure the wind for his next shot.

It's easy to get side-tracked and distracted with what's going on around you, but you owe it to the shooter you are scoring to do your job so he can do his - everyone is human and we all make mistakes - if you miss one, apologize and try not to do it again...
