Need custom buttpad made

Hey guys,

i have a old Rock Solid chassis that i purchased from here from a member. I would like to get a new butt pad made of steel and rubber. I am doing this to balance the rifle a bit more when i add a suppressor.

I can send the spacer for someone to make out of steal to copy the same dimensions

You might look for a welding shop near you. They cut steel all the time. Back in De., I had a lot of stuff made at a local shop.

Are you trying to address dimensional balance or weight balance. Your OP mentions both.
I have attached rubber to both steel and aluminum using epoxy, as well as other adhesives. If you are looking for additonal weight, having a steel plate cut shouldn't be a problem, w/ nearly any metal shop.

Have you contemplated adding lead to the stock butt instead? Replacing the butt plate with steal depending on thickness won't add a lot. If it is 0.5" thick you will get a little over 1lb (rough butt plate volume/weight calculation 6" high x 1.75" wide x 0.5 thick x 0.75 factor x .290 density). The same volume of lead would render ~1.6lb.

It's a chassis so the but stock isnt a option. But i did see a KRG heavy bag rider that will add 1lb. So i can get the bottom of the stock drilled and tapped. And add some steel spacers after if i still need to balance.

Yea its 22 lbs now with a suppressor need to balance it.(my gamer gun)

And I eat my wheats and protiens so i am a strong boy.

FWIW- tungsten weighs a lot more than lead shot. I bought some used Mallory Metal slugs off eBay and made a plaster mold of one. I poured lead shot and epoxy in it. The lead and epoxy copy weighs 7.2 oz. The tungsten weighs 18.8 oz.
