This is a brand new CBI 260 barrel fire-forming 308 Palma brass, I have lived this it's not talk from my arm-chair or mom's basement.
I do have a 260AI that I did this same thing, fire-form 308 palma brass & it was one hole & I mean it was one hole. I sent the target to Benchrest Central & it was lost, 5 shot groups of FIVE ALL one hole. they asked for a backer target that I did not have, THE END PS that 260AI is in my safe un fired to this day,

What I''m thinking about specifically is turning and/or reaming the necks. Do you neck turn first, then size then ream.....size then neck turn then ream???? I can see different sequences that may work well but what sequence or procedure so you guys use?
I'm going to tell you the best way to end up with .260 brass out of .308 brass.
Take all your .308 brass and sell it, use money to order new Lapua .260 brass.
Sorry you are right & lazy , it is fun to work the BRASS a little
In that case make the brass out of 30-06!

ShootDots said:BRIAN356, you could probably take a busing die and size it down with a bushing about 4K under what you use now. THEN use the expander mandrel and you would be fine.. This would allow enough umph on the mandrel to push the imperfections to the outside of the case where you would turn them off..
Erik Cortina said:The bushing die does not size the entire neck. A standard .260 F/L die would have to be used,
