I have a k&m expander it measures .242

I have a pma cutting tool, it's mandrel measures .240

The pma site said 24cal/ 6mm mandrel.
i assumed they would work.....
they will not.

No one other than 21st C gives the measurements ....
i can't come up with a solution.

I''ve already bought the k&m. Rubs me the wrong way to shelve it and buy another.
About ready to sell it all and be done.

Best to keep manufacturers together. I’m not a fan of K&M products. Very cheaply made.

I have a Sinclair neck turner and turning mandrels
Their turning mandrels are .001 smaller than expander mandrels
I use carbide turning mandrels it makes turning a lot better

Not exactly sure how it is not working but this should work. Buy a Hornady Cam bullet puller and some mandrels. They are cheap enough and step up at .0005 increments. Neat to have anyway as you can use them later to set very precise neck tension if you like to experiment. Brain fart is interfering with me giving you the name of the place I purchased from. They were about 3 or 4 bucks each. I will post a link when my memory comes off vacation.

Your turning mandrel is slightly smaller then your expander as is should be. So what exactly isn’t working? Too much spring back on your brass? I assume that you’re sizing the brass first. Maybe annealing before expanding would help.

That's what I did. Sanded and polished the expander. I believe I've got a good fit going on.
Thanks guys for the jump on the learning curve !
