neck turning - minimum thickness

It would be based on your chamber dimensions. Have to turn them down to the point they will at least fit. The current thought is to have at least .002 clearance on both sides, but lots of people still go with .001. Do the math and that will give you what you need to turn them down to.
 
I don't know if anyone's actually tested to determine it, but I suspect it's a bit thicker than 6mm are sometimes taken to.
You need enough springback to grip bullets, and to reach your tune. You might also try to keep as much of the neck length as possible(some of which is lost to turning on fireforming).
 
for my match chambers, I use .0015 clearance (and .001 shoulder bump). For my hunting chambers, I use .004 clearance (and .003 shoulder bump).
