Neck thicknesses of 221FB brass: Norma, Nosler and Lapua

If you have measured neck thickness of any of the above brands of 221 FB brass could you please reply with the measurements you have? Which of the three brands do you prefer and why?

I turn my necks to fit my tight chamber, so can't help you there... I have shot Remington, and the primer pockets let go.., so I ordered 25 Norma, that the primer holes was not centered ( gave them away) , Lapua has held up fantastic to date.! This has been my experience.

I use Lapua for one VT which are good of course. I am likely to order another VT barrel and was considering Norma or Nosler brass for the second one if I hear enough good reports.

Lapua all the way. The norma is absolute garbage. I threw them away. Waaaaay to soft and primer pockets were loose to begin with.

Lapua is the best, hands down and is always my first choice. When Lapua brass is not available or not made for my needs I turn to Norma and Nosler and I have also had great results with them also. I use Norma in quite a few different chamberings and have never had an issue. Maybe I have been lucky?? David Tubb sees to like the stuff.

I use Nosler brass and have had absolutely no issues. I am only on my fourth loading, so time will tell...

Maybe I got a bad batch? I was pissed for the price of 25 and the primers fell out on virgin brass

Wow, yeah I don't blame you one bit. I would contact Nosler and voice your frustration. Definitely a problem there...

Tony.
