neck tension

hi
just need a little help .What is the best way to control neck tension .I ask because i seem to be getting different pressures when seating bullets .The cal in qustion is 6.5x47 lapua with lapua cases,ultrasonic cleaned ) full length sized and using a forster comp seating die .Any help would be great .

After a few firing all the cases will have different yield strengths in the necks.

Best way to control neck tension is to anneal the necks and use a machine like the Ken Light to get even consistent results.

I use tungsten disulfide or boron nitride lube on the bullets. When you do this you don't have to worry about the bullets bonding to the necks when stored for awhile. It also makes for consistent friction levels so if you have consistent neck tension you will get consistent pressure when seating.
 
try going .001" smaller on your sizer bushing....it shuld do wonders for inconsitant tension....let us know if it helps...Roger
