neck donuts

Hey guys, if you don't mind, i Just got a quick question regarding neck donuts. Ive read lots about neck donuts and the trouble they can cause when seating bullets. I have 6BR lapua gold box brass that's been fired at least 20 or more, and I still don't have them in my cases. Ive done the bullet drop test into a fired case and on all my cases it drops right through, and accuracy is very good. From what Ive read my cases should have them by now. Rifle is a .272 no turn neck and I size with a Forster shoulder bump die with a .267 bushing. Its got a very short throat and I have to seat 107 match kings way past the neck shoulder junction, which is why I was worried about them. Not that I want them ::) but just wanted some opinions on why they haven't appeared yet.

If you didn't get your donuts, I would contact Lapua and complain right away.

Guess what...I got 33+ reloads out of a gold box and NEVER had a donut issue. Guess we both must be doing something right.

Ive read the donuts form when you turn the necks into the shoulder junction slightly then fire the round pushing the step into the inside of the brass. After a few firings this becomes a donut. My guess is your not trimming into the shoulder. You may also want to move this post to just reloading. Youll get more views.
