Whidden even has a 5 bushing starter kit with the most popular sizes for a given caliber.

I have read numerous times that irregardless of maker a bushing should be checked with a pin gauge to verify the actual size. My pin gauge sets have proven more than once that the size stamped on the bushing should not be taken as gospel.

I make 'em out of 1/2 inch drill rod. I don't even bother to harden 'em.....they work fine.

12 inch piece of drill rod makes a lot of bushings and the exact size you need is always sittin' in the drawer waitin' to be made.

SAC is my first choice now days, then Wilson, my Redding tin and standard bushings mostly stay in the drawer.

The best ones are those that are straight and the size by pin gauge matches the engraved size. Over the years, I've had excellent results from the Reddings.
