Neck Clearence

My 223 lapula brass with 50% + turned necks with bullet 90gr vld measure .250
The chamber is .2527
Do you foresee any problems with the clearence.

IF....the bullet seated in the turned brass measures .250 and you have .2527 in the chamber, truly......

You have almost .003, .0027 according to your dimensions.

I usually run between .002 and .003 on my stuff.....

If you feel that this is tight still, take another .0005 off and see how that looks to you....

Ok
Thanks guys as I dont have the rifle yet I am just going by the print diminsions for the neck chamber.
I have all my brass prepped and that is what they measured after turning and loading some development loads.

I've had a couple barrels with .250 necks. Ive put thousands of rounds through them with .249 loaded neck diameter with no problems. As long as you keep it clean, you shouldn't have any issues.

I always run .002 at the lightest and .004 at the most. like Matt said .003 is usually the target going into the setup.

Sounds like I should be good to go.
If not after the first firing I will turn them another .0005 and see how a 25 shot string does.

My 6-284 has a .270 neck and my loaded rounds are coming in at .268. 125 rounds down the tube and no problems.

Never go by print dimensions. There are a lot of ways a chamber neck can vary from the drawing.
Always measure the chamber.

You can tell if you have enough clearance after you fire your first cartridge in your gun. If a bullet slips into the fired brass before sizing you have enough clearance.

If it fits, it fits. My .30BR has .001" of clearance, and it shoots great. You just have to be cautious when you reload and make sure everything is right. 2-3 thous is fine.

I shoot the 90 VLDs in a chamber with neck = 0.2527" according to the reamer print. It was cut with PTG's 223 Rem ISSF reamer, as I suspect yours might have been also. I do not neck turn brass at all. You shouldn't have any problem with the necks clearing. The only issue I could see would be if you turned the necks down too much.
