Neat kinetic puller trick.

Using the shell holder is much faster than threading the case onto the rubber band insert. Saw it somewhere online right about the time I purchased mine some years ago. Only used the rubber band inserts a few times.

thanks for that trick!! I was just trying to figure out what puller to get since the little insert won't hold cases anymore.

It works. I just don't see it as being any faster. The slowest part is unscrewing and screwing the cap on and off. Is speed an issue with pulling bullets ? I mean you have to separate the powder and bullet too, you just can't stuff another round in there(yes you can just dump the powder/bullet into a plastic bowl) I get it.

What ever was learned about the kinetic pullers that has had rounds detonate ? That’s why I haven’t picked one up. Scary scary stuff

I don’t think it’s being touted as faster, just not as much of a PITA.

Did it that way with appropriate shellholders for years. Got to be too tedious (had a couple hundred rounds of .17 Remington given to me but didn't trust the loader...try hammering out those tiny bullets!) so switched to RCBS collet pullers and never looked back.
I use kinetic for one-offs. A collet puller makes a lot more sense for high-volume jobs.
