Don't make fun, I just learned this thanks to Erik Cortina and thought I'd share. Some may have known this for years
I don’t think it’s being touted as faster, just not as much of a PITA.It works. I just don't see it as being any faster. The slowest part is unscrewing and screwing the cap on and off. Is speed an issue with pulling bullets ? I mean you have to separate the powder and bullet too, you just can't stuff another round in there(yes you can just dump the powder/bullet into a plastic bowl) I get it.
I use kinetic for one-offs. A collet puller makes a lot more sense for high-volume jobs.Did it that way with appropriate shellholders for years. Got to be too tedious (had a couple hundred rounds of .17 Remington given to me but didn't trust the loader...try hammering out those tiny bullets!) so switched to RCBS collet pullers and never looked back.
