I have shot with David at The Texas State Mid-Range Championships, last year here in Houston. He is an EXCELLENT shot and about as nice of a fellow as you could meet! My hat is off to both of them! Great Shooting!!

Oh, I forgot... I just got the info for the Texas State Mid-Range in my email again.. It is October 10, 11 and 12. The 10th will be for the team shoot.. The other 2 days are individuals.. If you have not previously attended, go to the "TSRA" web-site and look for the upcoming match and sign up. Last year I believe we had 91 shooters! It will be GREAT time and the competitors will be some of the best in the nation!

We are fortunate to have David, William Wittman and Alton Britt shoot with us on a monthly basis. Great group of folks!

Great shooting David. He won the F-open 600 @ Berger Nationals last February, using a Win model 70!!

John Whidden was using an M70 for a while also. Not sure what his current rig is. I guess it goes to show that wind reading and trigger time can often trump a fancy action in some disciplines.

I was pulling Davids target along with Dan Pohlabel, it wasn't very far into the match when we realized we were pulling for a shower capable of winning. Pulling his target was an easy task.

Ole Decareaux is having a heck of a year, the Berger midrange championship, now the nationals at camp perry.....Way to go David!

Congratulations also to fellow Californian Noma Mayo for her Palma rifle win. Anytime that Noma, Nancy or Trudy are shooting Palma, be prepared to settle for somewhere behind them. ;)

He has had a great year Jade, you are absolutely correct. David has worked very hard to get to this point. Couple the hard work with an absolute adversion to mediocrity and that pretty much explains Decareaux's success. He's an amazing competitor and a good friend as well.
