N555 in 6.5 Creedmoor

Hi all
I'm using N555 in my 6.5 creedmoor and I've gotten a load that gives me an avg speed of 2668 fps and a SD of 8.9 fps and a 0.6 moa 5 group at a 100m.
This rifle is for PRS
A few of my shooting buddies recommended that I switch to H4350 (which can become tricky to find) to get a little better efficiency or should I stick with N555 ( not very popular thus easy to source) I do have a few tins of it left

Between N555 and H4350, your friends would have a hard time claiming one is vey much better than the other.

Nothing is cheap or easy to find these days. N555 is a modern powder that is well suited to your application. I don't know a compelling reason in terms of performance since N555 is also temp stable.

If you already have it, and a load that is working, that counts for more these days. You would end up spending more rounds to make the change, to end up in essentially the same place.

At 2668 fps, your a bit slow and have 2 more good nodes above
that. The little I worked with V-555 tells me its too bulky of a powder
for the Creedmoor. H4350 and Reloder 16 are the top 2 powders
for the 142 SMK. My top load was 42gr of R-16 with the 140 RDF
at 2780 fps in a 24" 8 twist Criterion barrel.

Stay with the 555, it's a good powder and from what i have learned, here in the cold north, it is very tolerant for temperature changes.

It wasn't a winner in my old ( and rather short ) .260 rem barrel, but the LW i'm running now, are showing promising groups and velocities.

I am in the process of making the final load for the new barrel and the 555 looks like a worthy contender for the job.
More to follow.
