That question will probably be best answered by your rifle and your loads at the range. I have tried both alternatives with good results from each. From looking at my notes and group sizes I'd say it's a pretty fair toss-up with my Bench Rest rifle but I would lean towards N-130.With H4198 impossible to find which one of these is the better alternative for 30BR? The LT-30 or N130?
I'll see what's available. What would be a good starting point on the low safe side to start at with n120?I love n120. It's a bit faster than the others but is a wonderful powder from top to bottom. It was in stock at PV I think, a few days ago. Definitely worth a look. Great powder if your bbl likes it. Careful tipping the bottle though. You can fit too much in a case with it.
Around 31.0 grains and work up with 110-125gr bulletsI'll see what's available. What would be a good starting point on the low safe side to start at with n120?
Depends on bullet weight but probably around 30.0 gr.I'll see what's available. What would be a good starting point on the low safe side to start at with n120?
I used 30.8 N120 for a year or 2 then opened a new 8 lb and ended up at 30.4 for the same speed!!Around 31.0 grains and work up with 110-125gr bullets
