N130 or LT-30?

With H4198 impossible to find which one of these is the better alternative for 30BR? The LT-30 or N130?

Alright where I am H4198 is no where. My question is I have imr 4198, LT 30, LT 32, and N130. I'm shooting 115 gr berger ft. What my best choice for powder ?

That question will probably be best answered by your rifle and your loads at the range. I have tried both alternatives with good results from each. From looking at my notes and group sizes I'd say it's a pretty fair toss-up with my Bench Rest rifle but I would lean towards N-130.

Can’t answer this for you directly, but all the guys shooting 30br for score at my club are all successfully using n130

I love n120. It's a bit faster than the others but is a wonderful powder from top to bottom. It was in stock at PV I think, a few days ago. Definitely worth a look. Great powder if your bbl likes it. Careful tipping the bottle though. You can fit too much in a case with it.

I'm have good results with 35.6 gr N-130. Don't plan to go back to H-4198; especially with N-130 being $20/keg cheaper.

I'm in the same camp...switched to N 130 and I'm not going back to H4198 even if it's available....I made a long drop tube and shoot close to 36.0 grains and it hammers in several barrels I've tried it in.

Around 31.0 grains and work up with 110-125gr bullets

Depends on bullet weight but probably around 30.0 gr.

31.0 isn't a pussycat load but it should be no problem. 30.8 is my go to charge in my 30 Major. Pretty stiff in it but a little smaller capacity.

I used 30.8 N120 for a year or 2 then opened a new 8 lb and ended up at 30.4 for the same speed!!
