I'm looking for options and opinions on preferred N frame grips. The factory rubber over-mold with the finger grooves are a little too thin, and I find myself squirming around for a comfortable grip. Once I'm there, I'm okay but I feel like something without grooves or minimal grooves would be better. The Lett style panel grips on my GP 100 are much easier to get into position and are more comfortable. This makes me wonder if I'd be better off with the original square butt M29 grips.
I also thought I'd like to give the factory performance center style a try. They've got grooves, but a little more subdued and being wood should allow quicker positioning. I plan on running 240 to 260 grain cast bullets most of the time, so maximum recoil absorption isn't much concern.
Thoughts? Or anyone have a set of round butt grips they'd sell or let me demo?
