My visit to Dixie Gun Works

I was down in South Western Tennessee a few weeks ago visiting some of the Kinfolk. Stopped by Dixie Gun Works in Union Tennessee on my way home to buy some Black Powder, as it is Un-Obtanium here in Wisconsin. Neat place to visit if your ever in Northwestern Tenn. I was there about 50 years ago when Crappie fishing on Kentucky Lake. The Crappies won!

It's a neat store to visit to see a lot of historical smoke poles, as well as modern stuff. Many thanks to the nice folks there!

I like that they have cannons and I think they had a Gatling gun. Goex blew up again the other day so back to buying Swiss. I am really trying to wait for Olde Eynsford to come back.

Wow, sorry to hear that! Hope nobody got hurt! I never tried the Old Eynsford. Was that made by Goex?

Yeah, I saw some cannons there and lots of War of Northern aggression stuff.
Speaking of Cannons, I believe there is a place in Wisconsin that makes replica cannons?

I used to have Swiss 3F for use in my .45 Colt Ruger Vaquero, and a Rossi lever gun I had in .45 Colt with duplex loads. Very clean burning. Sold both of those, and about a dozen Italian Cap n' Balls. I still have a somewhat customized Ruger Old Army, the only BP gun I have left.

I bought 2 - 1lb. bottles of Goex 3f from Dixie. Me being a Yankee, I wasn't sure if they'd sell it to me!
