My theory about internet gun theory

You did not cover the internet keyboard warriors - they talk the talk, but, truly have little, if any experience. They send the person down the wrong road.....and enjoy doing so!
Hey, that sounds like me! ;)
I heard today that I'm a keyboard commando from a fella that whittle's stocks. I guess it was my water based dye that caused his precious stock to delaminate.
I'm thinking he never heard of tempering wood. Hahahahaha!!

This is the same story for every forum since the beginning of the internet. SMEs get tired of answering the same questions over and over, tired of explaining why newcomers "novel" idea to revolutionize whatever subject won't work and isn't as novel as they think, and a little dash of tired of arguing with other SMEs over pedantic issues that are a matter of perception.

So that last bit is my addition. Seek to understand the perspective of the discussion before adding input from your perspective. Someone attempting to produce consistent 1-2 MOA load on a progressive press shot from multiple rifles, likely isn't going to get a lot of help from BR/F-class methods of reloading, for example. Absolutely principles cross over, but the perspective of achieving success on one hand would be considered dismal abject failure by the other.
I can relate. I once was employed as a tech for a green company we know. A kid called and I spent about an hour with him because his seat die was making rings on his bullet. I gave him the official fix, the reason for the issue, the redneck fix...thought all was well and his rifle would love him.

He called back a few days later and we had the same conversation, and then it occurred to me to ask exactly what rifle he was loading for. Duh...turned out he was loading lead bullets in 9mm for his Glock, shooting IDPA. Let's just say I learned a lesson there! Never assume your knowledge is what someone else needs! He sure sounded like he was shooting a precision rifle...but I didn't ask. So what I was telling him wasn't as helpful as telling him to stop reloading lead for his Glock, and that a ring on his lead bullet was not going to keep him from hitting the A zone at ten feet as he laid waste to carboard.

Last year he was on snipers hide I think but definitely was on another forum spewing the same old crap
Wayne

Guffey shows up every now and then on Calguns (another forum I frequent), spews his random opinions, catches a bunch of flak, and disappears for a while. He's about due for another appearance. Not sure why he shows up on Calguns, as he's based out of Texas if I remember right.
