My new PRS build

Why not practice with what you compete with? That goes against everything that's ever been said besides 22lr for form and manipulation. Why the 6cm when the dasher is winning?

Because you don’t want to be burning out your match barrel practicing. With a rifle set up like it or a barrel for the same rifle you can get excellent practice and save the match barrel for matches.

Exactly. And I also have a backup caliber

I hear you but my theory is why 6cm when I could go 6 dasher? Why dasher when I could go 6gt. Why 6gt when I can do 6br. Why 6br when I can do 6bra. Why 6bra when I can do 6brx. There's always some other caliber to run that is the next cool one. I like to run calibers that I can buy quality factory ammo in case of an emergency. In fact I moved recently and my reloading gear was in storage and I had no ammo left. Luckily I was running 6.5cm so I was able to buy factory ammo till my reloading gear was set back up

I did some more load development. I added 10 more shots from 41.6- 42.2 grains to the original chart. The ambient temperature was 15-20 degrees hotter than the original 5 shots so I may have got some variations from temperatures.

Here is the 10 shots separated from the previous data so the conditions were the same across the chart for those 4 charge weights.

You may also notice that I added 10 more lines to the 65 guys spreadsheet so I can compare 15 shots instead of 5.

Another former Pala shooter that immediately recognized the range from the picture. Brings back fond memories. Beautiful rifle too, BTW. Looks like you're getting it dialed in. Best of luck with it!

Thank you. It's a fun place to shoot and it's pretty close to me

Put a back up/ training rife together. I need to swap rings to my taller set.

-Zues terminus action with QC barrel setup
-6.5cm prefit Benchmark Heavy Palma barrel for training
- Triggertech diamond trigger
- MPA BA comp chassis with internal weight kit
-Vortex Razor gen 2 EBR-7c 4.5x27

I wouldn’t have gone that high. The 1” should work but 1.26 definitely would. I use 1” on most of my Razor II 4.5-27. Only one I went with 1.26” was a Surgeon action with its integral base being a little lower.

How does the vortex compare to zco? Is the $1500 difference worth it? Love the twin match rifle. I have a .22 built just like my match gun.
