My New Girlfriend

Just wanted to share with you my latest project.
Action- Bat 3Lug
Stock- Zane Athey Made speedy stock
Barrel- Ron Hoehn 6ppc
Trigger- Jewell
Paint- Jim Hart Inca Gold
Stock work- Tom Meradith
I havent ever had a painted stock and i fell in love with P1 zomi killers stock so i had to have a gold rifle. I hate gold on everything else but i love it on a rifle.
Anyway i am bored this evening and i was admiring my rifle and thought i would share. What do you think? I am sure most wouldnt like gold on a stock but i like being somewhat different. I hated to copy P1's stock so we went with a little different color, but i must admit i did steal the idea. LOL Enjoy! Lee

Thats funny right there!!!! I suppose just like the rest of them. She doesnt seem to even know it is there. I like this way too!!! Actually i am a pretty lucky fella. She never says a word about how i spend or what i spend it on, and on the reverse side, i never tell her no either. Lee

Lee, it is so precious, so very precious. You know if you start acting weird like the little dude in the Hobbits you are going to have to get rid of it quick to me. ;D Great lookin rifle and love them Bats. I had 2 of the three lugs before and man are they sweet. I think i am going to order a couple of his actions to put away for future use. I think 1 day i will need to have them when i finally have a break down looking at all your cool stuff. You da man

As always I enjoy looking at your rifles! Gold isn't my color, but it's a head turner for sure! Not a flaw in the paint!

I as well am a very lucky fella! My wife happen to pick up a cpl of invoices from stocks, and barrels I have purchased. She said, "UMM you have UPPITY taste!" I siad. "Yes Your My WIFE!!!" Big smiles from both ends, and She hasn't said another word about it since ;D ;D ;D ;D!!!

Very nice Lee! I have a little different problem with my wife. If I had a rifle painted gold that looked that good, she would shoot it and never give it back! She loves to shoot as much as I do.

Beautiful rifle, Lee! I love those 3 Lug BATs too. There was a '57 Nomad with flames in that same color some years ago that was a real head turner, nice choice!

that is the nicest Nomad i have ever seen. i even had to show this to my wife as she loves wagons. Wow!!! The bat 3 lug is also my favorite action ever. They just feel right to me. This one doesnt have an ejector and i like that, some might not so much. The stocks cost whatever the fella is selling them for, and what another is willing to pay. these stocks are a bit hard to find. I have another 3 lug BAT action that i do need a stock for and i am really hoping i can come across another, as i love the feel of this design. Anyway i just wanted to share my latest creation. I didnt really need another rifle, so i may or may not sell this one just dont know yet. the more i look at it the more i think i better hang on to it. thanks for the kind words. Lee

Lee, If your new GF shoots as well as Wes's Gold Bat you'll definitely want to keep her. Wes just finished 3rd overall in a tough two day event last weekend in a 100 & 200yd VFS match. The wind was blowing 15-20 and gusting 30-40 mph on Sunday. He was in 1st place in the combine after shooting Saturday but a big gust cought him Sunday morning when shootin at 200 and cost him 3 points dropping him to 3rd. His Golden Girl did her part but Ole Mother Nature was a little fickle.
