I went to a 600 yd. match this past Sunday, and had a great time. I learned what everybody was talking about. I went to Birddog's house last year to shoot @ the Dasher Dome, taking a few eggs out at 800yds and it was fun, met a lot of people, and made some friends. I will be doing that again this year as well. It seems I have done it again at Memphis.
Tim Claunch put up with me over the weekend, giving me some great advice on pulling targets ( look behind the spotter would have been a good tip) as I pulled his target for the match. He and I went to the range Sat. to get my rifle sighted in @ 600yards down from my 1000 yd. zero. Taking in Tim's advice on some of my targets, I will apply them on the next reload. Then it got hot and humid so we called it a day.
Not driving my vehicle to the range Sun. I rode with Tim. We where in different relays, and classes, so I had to hitch a ride from the pit, to the line.. leaving my credentials in his vehicle. though I did manage to get them in one passing before the last relay I was to shoot.. I finally got my nicotine, & sun glasses.
I wasn't expecting to win anything, just to bump a few guys up the list. I was in the HV gun class, (6 Dasher was my choice that day), along with the range master, which struck up another conversation... upon tallying up the scores there was a 3 way tie for 1st, I came in last (181), but Tim had a smile on his face
" man you just showing out now", he said. I said "naw I got calmed down.." too bad I didn't annie up for the X pot, as I would have got that as well..
I got smallest group of the match.

1.4 was the measurement
I made some new friends, and Looking forward to the next match !!!
Thanks Tim Claunch for chambering my barrels, and great advice on shooting.
