My first 6BRA arrives tomorrow

You have me mistaken with some one else. I never said that. I chamber my 6BRAs .004" short on a 6br go. Thats just me, I had to standardize early on so you could use the brass in the next barrel and it would be the same. So long as its not loose in the chamber your fine, just keep lugs greased.

Thats what I said you said, it appears we agree :)

This isn’t my print. The comments on my print only says use a standard BR go gauge. Either way.. ...it’s a hoot to shoot! Thanks to whoever was responsible in creating, bringing back visibility, etc... I had zero experience FF or wildcat... when dasher was getting long in the tooth. I bought the dasher used that included brass that took all of the FF, Hydro, false shoulder or any other method away from the process...

Reading the BR Improved/ BR Ackley/ BRA... it seems just the ticket for great case with dasher’ish speeds and super accuracy. Super simple load and go :)

I got bored fire forming at 100 and 300. Took it to 600 for the rest. And as Alex mentioned I found the same 2-3” groups with a few fliers.

My FF load was 29.2 grains of varget with the Fed 205 primers behind a 105 VLD stuck 15k into the lands. I shot 10 shots and pull the bolt wipe and clean after each 10. With 3-4K head space crush I just did that grease process on the lugs and cocking cam... just to be sure I wasn’t running anything dry and to help maintain smooth bolt close. This above was shooting 2740-50 starting out on new Barrel by the last of the 100 pieces the velocity was nearing 2800. Usually around 2775 with some fliers touching the 2800. My barrel is 28” 4 groove .237 8 twist.

Here are a couple of the groups at 600. Red Bullseye is 2” or ear plug for reference. Call good wind and I’m sure you will be happy with the results.

I would shot the same load with the BR-4 primers and see if tightens up your group.
I have tried alot of different primers and always end up back at using BR-4's.
Good luck

Those were fire forming loads. I was sharing with the OP that the FF load was pretty darn accurate at 600 to get rolling.
I used Varget and regular 205 as I was using up components in a particular lot. Used a light load shooting 2750 range to go easy on the brass however getting perfect case forming.

My match load is a bit different. I’m using the 108 with 4895 and a 205m primer. Shoots amazingly well.

Ahhhh yes the hard life

UPS didn’t deliver. It’s a shame too since I paid up for 2 day air.

Should be at the FFL today by 10. That might give me enough time to do what I need to.

Got it!

Bolt closes on an unformed case without a lot of force so I’m just going to load some and head to the range to do some break in and fire forming

I just flat ran out of time. Caught myself rushing things I should be taking my time with. It will have to wait till next month. Plus, I’ll have some more questions before I send anything down range

Very nice!

Got out to the range and fire formed 50 rounds. Load was using Hornady 105 HPBT .005 off the lands, 30g of varget with BR4 primers.

I followed a break in process cleaning every 5 rounds for the first 25 then every 10 rounds thereafter. By the 6th cleaning cycle there was no copper present.

Speed gradually increased as I progressed from a low of 2,725 to 2,770 toward the end.

I’ll load some more tonight and hit the range again this weekend. So far I like what I’m seeing.
