He gave us a memory so vivid that when we reminisce, we can actually re-live the moments and FEEL the emotions we had back at that time. I have a best friend, He is older than me by 20 years, taught me a lot. Much more th an my own father in fact. He has had several bouts of health issues and at 75, will not go on any "adventures" (however sedated) anymore. I feel him slipping away at times, welcoming the the long sleep and it pains me to know I will be left behind without him. We have shared a lot, seen each other through a ton of sh$t, but he will leave me out of this one. It is his choice and I let him have it.
I feel your pain and know it will be mine sooner than I want.
You were blessed to have the man in your life.
