My best freind Just passed.

My German Shorthair has gone to heaven. He died at home and will be sorely missed.
jon, I didn`t hit the like, because I don`t like this sad news. Take the time to mourn your lose and remember all the good times you had together. I lost a big boy in Feb. Still see him some days in the yard? I said then,I`ve never been stabbed in the heart, but I`m damn sure I know how it feels.Peace be with you. Jeff

The strong bond that forms between a great dog and his owner is something to be cherished. That unconditional love and loyalty they give makes it hard on you when they pass all to quickly. The years seem to slip by all too fast.
Cherish the memories and get yourself a new canine friend. Your old hound would have wanted that.

I lost my best ever doggie friend - a GSP - 9 months ago. I still grieve for her. Maybe I'll get another but now is too soon.

With the two cats also now gone I am not missing the vet bills at all. Lacey (my GSP) was just short of 11 but the cats (Siamese bro & sis) were old. Clyde died on his 20th birthday last March. Bonnie went blind a couple of years ago and we had to let her go.

But I do miss them all. I am not in a hurry to endure such pain again. maybe I'm just a woose!

I am happy simply feeding the wild birds around here now (parrots mainly).

Sorry for your loss Jon; I have been there too, and my current buddy is 14 and slowing down a lot, so I'll be there again soon. We remain thankful for what we had when they were with us....

My old pal has been gone for a few months now. I have pretty much stopped seeing him laying around the house, or on his favorite couch. Every now and then I think I hear him rustling around at night when I'm in bed.

I have reservations for a new pup which was just born about a week ago. In about seven weeks I'm gonna pick her up and start the whole dog love affair again. Kind of makes me want to take a leave of absence from work -- pupturnity leave?? jd

VERY SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. LOST MY "BEST FRIEND" GERMAN SHORTHAIR SOMETIME BACK. BEST FRIENDS FOR 14 YEARS. BEST FRIEND I EVER HAD. SHE NOW RESIDES IN AN URN ABOVE MY RECLINER. ALL FAMILY MEMBERS KNOW THAT WHEN MY TIME COMES, WE ARE TO BE "PUT TOGETHER" AGAIN. YOU MIGHT ENJOY READING "RAINBOW BRIDGE".

Sorry for your loss. It's a hard road to travel as many have stated. I haven't gotten another dog since Roxy the boxer passed two yrs ago. I still miss her but just not ready for another one yet.

There is no other creature or human on earth that will love you as much as your dog. They love you more than they love themselves, there love is unconditional and always true love and devotion. There is nothing like being owned and loved by your dog
