Depends on the total weight of the rifle, the design of the muzzle brake, and (as you noted) the caliber of the rifle and its load.
Not a question that can be answered with any high degree of confidence.
I would expect an as listed noticable difference. I have a break on my 11 lb 308 and can shoot all day long (sometimes dime size groups). My 8lb 30-06 though; no break and I tend to like those 20rd boxes more than the 50rds.
