Last night I noticed I had a strike on my RecoilX brake. It is on the front of my Silencerco Omega 36M which is direct thread. it's on a 6.5 Creedmor. The brake has been fantastic and I can't recommend it enough. I have about 700 rounds through it. Each time I use it I check that it is timed correctly and sometimes have to adjust a a little bit. I cant leave it on because my case is too short.
I shot it two different times this weekend. The first time there was no problem. I only know that it happened the second time because I reinstalled it and would have seen the issue. I shot 15 rounds the second time that day and took off the suppressor after and went home. I noticed this last night. I think I remember a different sound on one of the rounds I fired, ot the last one but in the middle of the string. I didn't look at the suppressor at the time. I was shooting 140 ELDm that time, and Berger and Vapor trail bullets earlier in the day. I actually quit because I couldn't hit anything at all. I'm hoping im not the first person that set the torrents back to 10 vs 0 becaseu I was shooting to 1250 earlier in the day and just dialed 3 mils back to "zero". Pretty stupid on my part, but I have no idea at this point if it lost accuracy because I was 10 mils over everything. I thought I lost zero because of the new bullet.
There is no strike in the suppressor that I can see and it is barely noticeable on the first baffle of the recoilX brake.
I don't know if this is ruined forever or if I can continue to use it. I didn't have an alignment rod before but am getting one today. I sent a note early this morning to RecoilX but havent heard back. It's early and I assume not open yet.
Would you use this or do you think it is done forever?
Thanks
