Must Have's for a F-Class Match

Just curious what your must haves and I guess since we're talking about this topic, your "nice to have" stuff to bring to a match:

Eyes and ears are a must, but I would like to know if you are bringing...

Multiple rifles, barrels and th, optics?
How much ammo, or how much ammo over the stated round count for a match?
Cleaning supplies, timers, bipod/tripod, replacement parts for your rifle?

Bring a front rest, rear bag, mat, and enough rounds for the cof. Are you going to shoot the palma or special? Most of us shoot both.

Youi might need a big range bag and a cart to haul all this stuff around. I keep chamber cleaning tools handy and a rain cover for your gear is not a bad plan. Find out what the competition drinks and have plenty of it iced down so they don't give you any trouble. Lol

don't forget your rear bag!!!!

A clipboard and a couple pens. Any tool that you think you might not need for your equipment, bring that those. Plenty of ammo.

I know you are referring to equipment and the other guys will cover that, but my must have short list is ...the right attitude.

Mine...Have fun...shoot the best I can...let the scores sort it out.
Plus remember you can't have too much ammo.

i will be shooting f-class open or do the local matches at Sac Valley which run anywhere from 200-600 yard relays, 3x600, 8,9,1K relays, 1K and so on and so forth. We just shoot with the highppower and other guys as well as just get put into different classifications when registering for the match. although, I might try my hand at F T/R, but I dont have a 308 rig for that shooting....yet.

I have seen a scope go down, trigger go down, and even a near welded case head stuck in the bolt of a surgeon action. although i hope none of this happens, i would like to prepare for the worst.

i see guys with those dollies and what looks like 40 pounds of gear :) and I cant help but think what they got in there. ;)

Rifle, rests, mirage shield, mat, ammo, spotting scope and stand, clipboard, pen, empty chamber flag, sun screen, bug spray, towel, wet wipes, hat with a brim (for pit duty), and a way to carry it all from your vehicle.

Sac Valley has a good group of guys. You'll be shooting against Gary Evans and Gary Childs as well as other good shooters there, so make sure you ask good question and your game should improve quick.

What Larry stated about attitude is correct. I might add to that >> You need REAL CONFIDENCE in your rifle / load you are using. I spend inordinate amounts of time getting my loads as perfect as possible. Constantly shooting / checking them out at 600 / 1000 yards til "I know in my knower" that if I do my part, the rifle IS going to do it's. That breeds confidence! Shooting and "hoping" is NOT a confidence builder!

Yes, & Cigars. ;) Oh, and a costume if the dates are right…

Also add band-aids to give to your buddies when their scope tags them.

... and a bucket of X's. ;)

Don't forget to make sure that no stray 9's found there way into your bucket of X's.

I wonder if Mark realizes that our Coach is requiring us to wear costumes at every team match from now on?

Of course, you must wear your lucky costumes at every match from now on. Can't shoot 800's without them. ;)
