Hi Ridgeway & Cakes.
I have to admit I never thought of or considered this method! However I sure do like the idea a LOT! It would save me one heck of a lot of time.
Are you both using Glass or Plastic tubes? I ask this because some plastic might have interactions with powders.

Thanks for posting your procedure. Lots of times it's the simple things that are best, this is definitely one of them.

This is an experience I had with buying a BOX full of Remington Mag 7mm cartridges at a flea market. This took place a couple years ago.
There were approximately a 150 rounds in the box loaded with 175 gr Sierras if I remember correctly. It was obvious they were OLD reloads from the box.
I bought them for the brass and possibly the powder if I could Identify it.

When I opened one of the cartridges there was corrosion between the case neck and bullet not just a little but over the entire contact area of the neck and bullet. The powder looked and smelled fresh and was found to be OK. It was H4831.

I'm just posting this for your information, that's all I can say.

How come it is always easier to seat the bullets farther before using inertia puller if they have sat a little while :)

Glass. The problem with plastic would be static causing the kernels to stick inside.
