They are a legitimate breed. My two were registered as Rat Terrier. Not sure the exact difference but the Mountain Feist I know are a bit larger dogs than mine were.

I have a 7 month old mountain cur/ mountain feist pup. He is becoming quite the belligerent little sh?t. But that dude WILL hunt. Trees and trails alone. Acts like he’s on crack most of the time.
