Motorhome-Friendly F-Class Ranges?

Just purchased a 35'motorhome so that my wife and I can travel to matches without staying in hotels and eating in restaurants where COVID-19 might be lurking - us Grand Seniors gotta be careful, don't ya know?

Now I'm looking for ranges that I can visit that won't get upset if I park that big vehicle in the parking lot while I shoot F-Class - (Already had one of our top ranges here on the East Coast tell me I can't park in their lot - too bad, it's a great range to shoot, will miss going there)

Also looking for ranges that might allow a shooter to "dry camp" on the range overnight, before, during, and/or after a match.

I am especially interested in Long Range matches/ranges, but would also be interested in getting information on 600 yard mid-range opportunities as well. I am on the east coast but "Have Gun Will Travel", so anywhere in the USA could be an option. (Already know about Ben Avery and the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, NM.)

Would appreciate any and all useful information.

Thanks,

John
Hi John, come on down to Florida in February for the Space Coast FClass/Fullbore match. We’re RV friendly-limited spots but we can handle a big rig and have 50 and 30 amp power.

Thanks! As of this moment, I am planning to be there.

And I should know today whether I will be able to make the Snowbird - work is jamming me up on that one.... Told Chip I was coming for that one, but looks like that may have been premature.

See you in February ( I hope!)

John

Thanks for responding - putting my list together from all these great responses - Thanks, one & all - keep'em coming.

Be aware that many ranges are only available for the days of a specific match. For instance my home range, Benchrest Rifle Club in Wright city MO ( St Louis ) is RV friendl with about 100 spaces, most with electricity. But it is only open to nonmembers for specific days around a match. This applies to Bucksnort in Marshal MO and Big Piney in Houston MO as well.

The campgrounds at Ben Avery and NRA Whittington center are open year round to anyone.

Thank you Craig - Much as I would expect from private clubs. We allow camping at our Bridgeville club too, but only for match purposes. Very much appreciated.

Dead Zero Range, Spencer Tenn. No hook Ups tho
Oh contraire!! Deadzero Shooting Park does have 1 secret hookup! I've seen it. I can actually get you access to it. I can also get you a golf cart to drive your equipment right up to the firing line about 400yds from your camper. I can set you up on the covered firing line with ShotMarker etargets where you can shoot 200yds, 300yds, 600yds, 800yds and 1,000 yds without ever moving equipment.
We are looking at installing a full RV Park next year.

Sure wish you would get that RV park going so I don't have to buy a house in Spencer. Finally found a range ny wife likes. Matt runs great Fclass matches. I'll be back. I'll be in touch about that secret spot.

Going to throw out a rumor on this topic. Private meeting at Manatee a couple days ago and it is now in discussion to have 600 yard F Class soon. The old group running F Class at just 300 has moved to another club. New people with new ideas are formulating plans to use the deck in front of the 600 yard benches. Since the backstop is 628 yards downrange, there should be no issue shooting in front of the benches.

Nothing finalized yet. Just in discussion as I was asked to help organize this new thing and declined. I have a large new mat to use but when I lie down, I fall asleep.

Pull the trigger on a 284 to wake up. Not sure how you would have a 600 yd Fclass match without pull or Etargets.
