Most accurate

My money is on the 6BR anyday. Better brass. Higher B.C. bullets. Match grade bullets available. The wind can play havock on a 20 cal at 300 yds and greater.

Just my 2 cents, Tim

It would be very very close in a custom gun, all things being equal. It would come down to the barrel you got. The 6BR would probably come out on top in the long run.

If I had to choose, I would make the decision based on other factors than accuracy. If I wanted a varmint gun so I can watch impact in the scope, or wanted to save money on powder, I would take the 20 VT. If I anticipated shooting more 300 yard shoots, the heavier bullets of the 6BR would be the better choice.

The 20 VT is kinda limited to R/P brass, which has discouraged me from getting one. The one person I know who owns a 20 VT, which is just as accurate as his 6BRs, got about 60 good brass out of a lot of 100.

6BR due to better wind performance if using the heavier bullets. If no wind, it would be a toss up!

6 BR due to vast variety of custom bullets and Lapua brass, and the affinity of smaller calibers' accuracy to be more sensitive to fouling.

possum1,

In equal guns, both are very accuracy. You did not say what you are going to shoot. For hunting PD the VT would do very well in your range. the 6BR with light bullet it can 800 yds on groundhog size varmint. and 900 yds on PD.

Good luck on your choice.
