MOST ACCURATE BULLET IN THE WORLD

I don't shoot a lot of target bullets, but when I did, I shot sierra, because that was what everyone was shooting when I started. Bergers were the most expensive, and earned that premium by knocking down sierra a few notches. I started reloading for the economy and ability to shoot more for less. Shot many hornady bullets, because they were affordable and nothing shot better out of my deer rifle. But here is my point: I think I noticed first with Nosler, becoming very proud of their bullets, without much in the way of evolution in their line. Then one and then another maker would tweek something on their bullet and tack on a few bucks a box. Now you are to the point the bullet costs as much as the brass, and you get to use the brass over and over. I might $1 for a bullet that is going to blow a huge hole in a deer or elk, but until they are proven, I just don't see the price justification in target bullets.

PS:I worked in the auto industry for a long time, Every foreign company that came up against the big three, wiggled their way into the market with a lowball price to get established and then showed what their product could do before raising the price and raking in the profits.

just received my order of 100 ct. 176 gr. Hornady A-tips for my .308. Loaded 10 rounds with IMR-4064 to just check a few different weights. Checking CBTO measurements were not as good as the 110 gr. A tips in .243 cal.

Five or six (I cannot remember) Hornady guys came to the 1000yd IBS Nationals and shot with us last year. They were all shooting Hornady bullets and all held their own. Real nice bunch that always donate a lot to the prize tables. Don’t quote me but I am 99% sure one of there guys shot the 2nd smallest or may have been the smallest group shot. I am pretty sure most were shooting the A-tips.

I think they were at the IBS national at Whitehorse, if I remember right... I can tell you this the A tip in 6mm will flat shoot...... jim

For those that might be interested in the shape of the A - tips in 6 mm 110 gr. and .308 176 gr. The jacket tapers down evenly on the 6 mm leaving the ogive less noticeable but there is a sharper angle where the .308 begins the taper.

I have to wonder if they have repurposed/rebranded the amax with an aluminum tip

My testing has proven that 7.75 will stabilize them at 100 yds and they will shoot very small .1 groups are normal. with single digit ES. I need to shoot long but they still have us shut down...... jim
What caliber did you test them out of?
