Monster loading block

Hey folks. Been a long time since I've been here. I'm gearing up to start F Open shooting and got a new purdy item coming in the next day or so. This loading block is solid aluminum and I think he said it weighs 10 lbs. Knowing Bob Pastor, I'm sure it'll be even prettier than the photos. I can't wait to get my hands on this thing!

FeMan, I hear you. Right now my bench is a huge friggin mess. I'm getting thousands of cases ready to anneal on my new AMP annealer. I've never let my reloading bench get this bad. The lathe and milling machines stay at little messy, but a loading bench shouldn't be messy. That's just wrong as two boys cuddlin'

Sniper, the purpose seems obvious...it's a loading block. And it's so heavy I doubt it'll fall over if I bump it (not that I ever bump my loading block). Anyway, it's just a neat addition to an already overloaded gunshop and reloading room. I'm proud to be getting it.

I just asked because i didnt know if the stepped has a function or not... didnt see how its better than a regular one... just curious as to the design..

Sniper, yeah it's kinda nice for us old half blind types with no depth perception. Makes it easier to keep track of last and next case. But truth be told, I just really like the look of it. And even if it wasn't useful I'd still keep it out in the open just because Bob Pastor made it.

Perry, I'm not sure. You should ask Bob. I got mine on a deal we cooked up between us. He's on the forum. Viper. Or his website, Oldgrouchysumbich.com. Just kidding it's viperbench-rest.com.

Btw, in the deal we cooked up, I'll be dictator of most of western Europe and the Mediterranean. Bob gets North America.

I believe the stepped block simply allows easier access to the rounds in the rows behind the first row. I have several 50 rounds aluminum blocks and although I like the weight, the holes are a little close together and sometimes handling the rounds in the back rows requires a little more attention than it really needs to IMO.

That's a fine looking loading block, Ranger...even more so because it's full. If only they came that way ;).

It does look sexy fully loaded. Those are Bob's 6.5 Baer loads. Anyone who's been unfortunate enough to be next to him on the firing line will probably cringe at the photo.

I'd love to get him on the line next to me, he would never be able to concentrate! He would have shots all over the paper!
Maybe he has made enough money to make it to the World Open this year.
