I just read a couple of the posts. That being said, I almost blew my head off when going back to naked bullets.
I developed a load for my hunting 300 Wby....Rem 700, Spencer BBl chambered by Clay Spencer. .330 neck, 210 MOLY vld's Norma brass. My final load was 82 G RL 25. That turned out ot be a little tough on brass, so I backed off 1 gr to 81.....good brass life after that. Shot that load for 15 years. After I got into 1K BR I decided to try naked bullets again. I backed off another grain to 80.....just to be safe. It wasn't!! Had to open my bolt with a BIG hammer. I eneded up at 75 gr RL 25. Chrono readings confermed that the speed of naked/75 was the same as moly/81.
My advice......BE CARFULL!!
