Moly coating plastic tip bullets

I'm thinking about moly coating some ELDM bullets and wondered if anyone has done this before and if it ruins the plastic tips? I tried some A-max's years ago and found about 1/3 of the tips in the bowl after moly coating. With the scarcity of bullets these days I'd hate to ruin a batch.

Well I can share this much with you. Been years since I was into moly coating bullets but using a vibratory tumbler I tried moly coating hundreds of Nosler 50 grain #39522 Ballistic Tip and Nosler 55 grain #39526 Ballistic Tip bullets and both did just fine. The ballistic tips suffered no damage at all. They really did not shoot any better in my 1:12 bolt gun but certainly no worse either. I would toss a few hundred in the tumbler with a teaspoon of moly and let them go a few hours, then just place them in a towel and get rid of the excess moly. Again, the tips were not damaged at all.

I recently coated several batches of 285 gr .338 ELD-M bullets with no issues. I use the dry vibratory method with Lee ceramic media.
