molly coating bullets ?

Ill have to look at midway. Though i seen the super moly , powder .on there before.

Ok, guys, I am confused. Suppose you are married - so what? I mean, consider these facts:

1. You will use the drier when she's at work, while you're home reloading. You've got all day.

2. You would never be stupid enough to volunteer to wifey about using the drier, right?

3. Nothing can possibly happen anyway, I already covered that (duct tape, so the bottle cannot open.)

4. If, somehow (and this is never going to happen) you did ruin the drier, you've got plenty of time before she gets home from work to have a brand new one delivered from Sears. So "no harm, no foul". Got it?

What could possibly go wrong.?

Go on web to Neco. I bought their moly coating kit about 20 years or so ago and am just about to run out. I just checked their website. Not real easy to find on the site - but it is there. The powder alone (4 oz. of .6 - .8 micron) costs $43.95.

I think I have an un-opened bottle of moly that came in a Lyman kit. Anybody want it? pm me. You can have it CHEAP! I'll have to look tomorrow, as it's at the shop and I'm done for the day.--Mike

I clean the bullets as stated and put them in a baby food jar with a pinch or three of moly. I put 2 jars in my tumbler, balances it out I guess, when the start spinning from the vibration make sure they are turning in the direction that tightens the lids..I learned this the hard way. I tumble for a few hours. When done I remove the bullets from the baby jars with a small spoon shaking off excess moly. I then put the coated bullets in a small plastic really fine flour strainer thing. After the excess is slightly shaken off the coated bullets I have a towel that is folded in half. I put about 50 coated bullets in the middle of the towel. I roll the towel kinda like a burrito with the bullets in the towel. Hold onto the ends of the towel tightly as to not let the bullets fall out. Then rock the bullets back and forth for a while in the towel letting them slide back and forth. Gently open the towel to keep dust down and the excess molly will stay on the towel and the sliding back and forth buffs the bullets. Works for me.

Very Respectfully

In the 1990's I bought the Lyman moly kit since I already had their little tumbler. If you already have their 1200 tumbler the kit is around $50.00 or so.It has everything you need .Follow their directions. You can moly thousands of bullets with what they give you.
Some people recommend doing it in the hot sun in the summer as the pores in the bullets absorb the moly better. I can't tell the difference.
