Modern Scope On Unertl Blocks

I have a Remington 40X with a very nice Unertl scope, I am wondering if I can 1" rings that will fit the unertl blocks.

Just make sure both bases are on the same plane , which isn't always the case with external adjust scopes .

Simply swap out those blocks for Kelbly blocks that fit their rings perfectly.

Using a modern scope? Not in my opinion. Simply too far forward and too far apart.
