Seems to me...If.Palma shooters are limited to .223's and .308's(with 155gn bullets) and are effective to 1K yds,.....308's should be entirely effective for PRS. Palma shooters are not allowed any kind of rest or scopes and usually weigh less than PRS equipment.

If you are going to run a 308 I would recommend the modern 155s. I shoot a lot of lapua 155 scenars and they easily make it to 1k and have less recoil than the heavier bullets. You can spot your shots with good form.
