My 700 BDL Varmint is confusing me. I was pretty certain that I’d bought it in ‘70 or ‘71. I was a newlywed and can remember how upset my wife was with this purchase. Anyway…… I checked the Remington chart to compare the numbers. The barrel is stamped RO 64. This indicates Nov of ‘64, correct ? The problem is that the serial number on the action doesn’t match this time frame. Serial number says ‘75 -‘80. There has never been any alterations of any kind. I bought it new but don’t have the original receipt. Any help would be appreciated. I’m considering selling this .6mm for a specific purpose.
