I'm fairly new to PRS. USPSA is more my strong point, but what I've learned over the past year or two hanging around with you guys is, that if your group say up 7.6 Mils you sound cool.....like Rambo. If your group says up 27 3/4 MOA you sound.....older and well educated. If your group says up 8 lines and left 6 lines it sounds like you've been around the block a few times and know MIL or MOA doesn't matter. As far as mils vs MOA, it really doesn't matter so much so long as your reticle, turrets, and those shooting with you speak the same language. Mils are easier for me because they are dimes. The numbers are more manageable and easier to remember. I can do 7.6 mils much easier than 27 3/4 MOA. Also, it can be quite rare to find a spotting scope in anything but mils.
