Misapplication of Public Health Emergency law in NM

These people simply have no capability to think logically or critically. They are playing on emotion to implement their goals for gun control. Goals that contradict the United States Constitution. (read a little on how Chicago's attempts like this were overturned at the US Supreme Court).

Every person knows that - any person willing to kill another during the commitment of a crime does not give a shit about open or concealed carry laws. These politician's think that restricting the rights of law abiding citizens like the ones that have gone thru the concealed carry training & background checks will stop criminal shootings.

This is a blatant attempt to do and end around the laws of this country. It is a total misuse of "public health emergency" laws. If you haven't read those laws for your state you should!!! Most of us were under those laws during the "covid emergency". You will be shocked at the amount of power given to a single person under the guise of an "emergency".

The real emergency is the governments utter failure to enforce penalties on criminals. Note how there is nothing in the list about penalizing drug dealers and traffickers'.

That's just ridiculous. Like a criminal with intent is going to follow the law. I'm sure low life's will wake up and be like "well I guess I cant mug anyone for 30 days since the governor said no concealed or open carry and I'll have to wait a month to rob that little mom and pop store down the street". Violent criminals do such damage.

Upstanding people arm-up in order to guard against such acts, such people ... and to put a halt to such things. Such people are not the ones committing violent crimes.

The only thing ink edicts like this do is to criminalize the upstanding for upstanding behaviors and preparations. It does nothing to halt the violent criminals who are already disregarding laws and any semblance of moral behavior. In short, such edicts like this merely pave the way ahead of the criminals, helping to ensure violent criminals meet far less resistance from those who the elected staffers effectively disarm.

Utter disregard of the purpose and point of the Constitution's 2A.
Utter disregard for life and limb of citizens.

What should occur? Every citizen who's capable needs to arm-up, heavily, and get prepared to put down such unjustified violence that gets leveled and them and theirs, using the degree of force they deem necessary to accomplish it. And the bloody political hacks need to get the hell out of the way while we take care of what they're incapable of doing.

It's one of two things; either these politicians have not tried to understand the problem, or it's a power grab. A person would have to be astonishingly stupid to believe that licensed concealed carry holders are doing these shootings. I don't think these politicians are astonishingly stupid.

If you research the shootings it becomes obvious they are gangland style shootings.

This Governor should be impeached and removed from office. Of course that won't happen.

Look at how long it takes to get a judgement from our court system on any Constitutional question, not just concerning The 2nd Amendment, but even laws passed by congress and signed by a president, that a current president chooses not to follow. The slow courts allow those in power to pretty much do as they please. A government designed by those in power, to remain in power, and gather more power over the Citizens. If they weren't politicians, you'd spot 'um pushing a stolen grocery cart with all of their possessions towards the next bridge or overpass where they could camp for a bit.

I read Sheriff John Allen from Bernalillo County north of Albequerque will not comply with the unconstitutional order so there is some resistance from those in law enforcement but how many will comply and "just follow orders" is the big question.
