I have an 8-32x44 World Class, and yes agree they are a very nice scope for the price
I could have sworn the older Tasco's (Hakko) were Japan made scopes.
Tasco not being an actual Mfgr but actually a distributor of various scopes so they farmed out from various scope makers and put their name on it.
I always liked any Japan made Tasco,

Sniperhandle knew right away!! Taco World Class Plus 10-40x50!!!!! Very fine crosshairs, very small target dot!!!!
Made by Fabrique a' Twain, Henco en Twain, and Hergestelit in Twain!!! 3 different companies!! And yes, the ultra fine thread anodized aluminum caps are great!!! You learn to turn counter clock wise until the threads drop in, then turn clock wise to screw them in!!! They don't attract dust from static electricity like plastic and rubber caps!!! Pix is from the end of the original box!!! 1997 Tasco Sales, Inc. below the white code box!!!! Bought the scope at the MIDWAY tables at a 1000 plus gun show in Wichita!!!!
